Houston Texans fans will spare no expense to have a good time at a game.
The website Financial Buzz recently surveyed 1,500 NFL fans across the country to find out which fan base spends the most money on their teams. Texans fans ranked near the top in quite a few categories.
When it comes to representing their team, Texans fans spend on average $380.17 a year on team gear and merchandise. That's more than double the league-wide average because NFL fans tend to spend $153.55 on merchandise.
Texans fans will also shell out of the in-game experience. They spend about $169.95 per person at the concession stands on game day, which is the most out of any fan base. That's a lot of hot dogs and nachos.
Dallas Cowboys fans are also a hungry bunch and spend on average $147.68 on game-day concessions.
The average NFL fan spends on average $41.36 on alcohol at games. Texans fans are not average fans though. They ranked #4 on the list of fan bases that spend the most on alcohol at $59.23 per game.
So who's #1? New Orleans Saints fans are letting the good times roll by spending $65 in booze alone on game day.
