The two acts will headline at the Chelsea in the Cosmopolitan for Vegas' weekend-long celebration leading up to the New Year. The "God is a Woman" singer will kick off her set on Saturday (December 29), with the rock stars to play in their hometown of Sin City on Monday (December 31).
“The Las Vegas Strip is a worldwide destination for New Year’s Eve, and we are excited to have hometown favorites Imagine Dragons and the incredibly talented Ariana Grande perform for this year’s celebration at The Chelsea," Fedor Banuchi, vice president of entertainment at the Cosmopolitan, said in a statement to Billboard.
The news arrives weeks after the 25-year-old songstress announced her break from the spotlight following the unfortunate death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, citing "much-needed time to heal and mend." In August, Grande released her fourth studio album, Sweetener. She's since previewed new material online.
Imagine Dragons was also planned to perform at the 2018 American Music Awards, where the group was nominated for three awards. However, the band was forced to cancel their gig due to a "personal family matter." Their upcoming fourth studio album, Origins, drops on November 9.
