While it's still a while away, fans will be seeing Ariana Grande in WICKED sooner than initially planned! On Tuesday, March 14th, the movie musical's biggest star took to Instagram to share a photo of the movie's logo with a new release date: November 27th, 2024.

Director Jon M Chu also took to Instagram Stories to explain why the first of the film's two parts will be arriving before Christmas. "We are deep in production on WICKED and everyday we get more and more excited to share with u the mischief we've been up to." He continued, "So... We've decided to get it to you all a little earlier than planned. OUR NEW RELEASE Date is NOVEMBER 27th, 2024! A little Thanksgiving treat! See you then!!"

Ariana has been working on the film since last year and ever since the pop star took on the role of Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming movie adaptation of the musical, fans have been a little antsy for music and live performances. Luckily, Ariana recently added a new verse on a remix of The Weeknd's "Die For You." She also decided to treat fans with a TikTok of her singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," while also calling out fans who were complaining. "wHy AreN'T yOu A sInGer AnyMoRee?!?!?!" Ariana wrote in meme style pretending to be fans who keep complaining about her lack of new music and performances. She went on to give those fans more details about the demanding nature of her latest gig. "*is literally on set filming two musical movies all day every day*"
