My Chemical Romance Reunion Show Tickets Sell Out In Minutes

On Halloween My Chemical Romance gave fans the best treat of all by announcing a reunion show. Tickets to the gig, which is going down December 20 at Los Angeles' Shrine Expo Hall, went on sale Friday (November 1), and unsurprisingly sold out in a matter of minutes. While those lucky enough to snag tickets were over the moon, there were others upset about ending up empty handed — this will be the band's first show since 2012.

Gerard Way and company have been taking the overwhelming response to their reunion with grace. After the nearly instantaneous sell out, they took to their freshly relaunched Instagram to thank fans for the "truly unbelievable" happiness they've experienced since announcing their return.

"It is truly unbelievable to us the happiness we have experienced over the past two days. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the warm welcome back. We truly did not expect this. See you soon. Xoxo, MCR," the band wrote alongside a series of throwback performance photos."

Check out the humble post below.

Fans have been speculating (or at least hoping) for a reunion for a while now. In August, the band launched a new merch line that very well may have been the beginning of this new chapter. The members threw us off the scent, though. Back in February, Way flat out crushed our dreams when he said "I miss playing with the guys, but I don’t think so" after being asked about a possible reunion. Frank Iero got our hopes up again in July, when he didn't explicitly deny a reunion by saying "I survived a bus accident, so anything is possible." But what we're really curious about is Joe Jonas' claim that MCR was rehearsing next to the Jonas Brothers earlier this year. Iero ruthlessly slammed the pop star for his comments, but could they have been true all along?
