Millie Bobby Brown Wants To Play Britney Spears In A Biopic

Millie Bobby Brown has revealed her desire to portray pop icon Britney Spears in a biopic about her rise to fame. The Stranger Things star opened up about her affinity for the singer during a recent interview with Drew Barrymore on The Drew Barrymore Show.

“I think her story, first of all, resonates with me. Just growing up in the public eye, watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was younger. I mean same thing with you," Millie told Drew, who made a name for herself as a child actress in the 1980s.

Millie continued, "It’s like I see the scramble for words and I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her I feel like I could tell her story in the right way, and hers only."

Over the past year, Britney has taken to her Instagram account to open up about her 13-year conservatorship. She has also used the platform to speak out against members of her immediate family. In September, the star revealed that she likely won't perform again after everything she's been through. "I’m pretty traumatized for life and yes I’m pissed as f— and no I won’t probably perform again just because I’m stubborn and I will make my point,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

As for Millie, you can catch her on Netflix's Enola Holmes 2 which hit the streaming service at the end of October. Earlier this week, the writers of Stranger Things shared the title of the first episode of the highly-anticipated season 5.
